Logo Contrast Checker

Extract colors from a logo, choose a foreground and background, and see the exact WCAG contrast ratio. You can edit either value to test approved brand combinations.

Private by design. Your image is analyzed locally in this browser. It is not uploaded or stored.

What the contrast results mean

3:1AA for large text and a common threshold for meaningful UI graphics.
4.5:1AA for normal text and AAA for large text.
7:1AAA for normal text.

WCAG exempts text that is part of a logo or brand name from the text contrast requirement. That exemption does not make low contrast a good practical choice, and it does not apply automatically when brand colors are reused for navigation, buttons, body text, charts, or form controls.

Check the final context, not only the logo file

A transparent logo can appear over many surfaces. Test every approved light, dark, photographic, and tinted background. Where contrast is weak, create an official reversed or single-color variant instead of adding an improvised shadow or outline at the point of use.
