Privacy and optional measurement

This page explains what SimilarLogo stores, why it is used, how long it is kept and how to ask about your own data.

Who is responsible

SimilarLogo’s operator has not yet published a legal name or postal address on this site. Until it does, send privacy questions and requests to hello@similarlogo.com.

Who can see a report

A report’s explanation, evidence URL, notice details and email address are visible to staff and to the reporter through the private case code or the reporting account. An approved representative of the reported record sees only that the case exists, its type, status, recorded decision and appeals.

Contact messages go to a private administrator inbox. Sender addresses are not verified and are never emailed automatically. Receipt and status-change audit events do not contain the message or the email address, and notifications to the support mailbox contain only a reference and an admin link.

Files you check in your browser

The private similarity checker, favicon generator and SVG inspector process artwork locally in the browser. They do not upload selected files, filenames or results, and clear their in-page data when cleared or closed. Page scripts and fonts may still load over the network.

Archive image matching on Find similar is a separate, server-assisted workflow. An image you choose is sent to SimilarLogo’s image-matching service for that search, and the service is configured not to keep query images or add them to the archive. If that service is unavailable, a PNG, JPEG or WebP image of up to 4 MB may be sent to a Cloudflare Workers AI image-captioning model so a text-based fallback search can run.

Cookies, measurement and security checks

Signing in sets a session cookie, which is needed to keep you signed in. Choosing English or Bangla saves a same-site language preference cookie that stores only the language code and is separate from optional analytics. Change the language in the header or clear this cookie to reset the preference.

Optional usage measurement is off until you opt in and respects supported browser privacy signals (such as Global Privacy Control). It uses a session identifier, browser storage and a same-site cookie. Its event records do not include search text, uploaded images, names, email addresses or IP addresses. Local, staff and recognised bot traffic is classified separately.

File delivery also has operational counters that are separate from optional usage measurement. Authentication, abuse prevention and hosting infrastructure process request metadata as needed to run the service, and hosting and security logs can include your IP address and browser details. Forms with a bot check load Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes browser and request signals to tell people from automated traffic.

Your choices and requests

Turn optional measurement on or off with the control near the footer. Opting out removes its browser identifier.

To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account or of something you sent, email hello@similarlogo.com from the address involved and name the account or workflow. Do not include passwords or unnecessary identity documents. There is no self-service account deletion or data export yet.

Optional usage measurement

Help us understand which catalogues and file formats are useful. We do not record search text, uploaded images, names, email addresses or IP addresses in usage events. Events expire after 30 days. Local, staff and recognised bot traffic is separate.

Measurement is off until you opt in. Downloads have separate operational delivery counts.
