Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC is a Bangladeshi manufacturer of refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, compressors and televisions, based at Chandra, Kaliakoir, Gazipur. It is the flagship company of the Walton Group.

The Walton Group, which traces its founding to S.M. Nazrul Islam in 1977, is headquartered in Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka. It works in consumer electronics, home appliances, mobile phones, automobiles and retail, and runs retail stores under the name Walton Plaza. [1] [2]

• 1977 S.M. Nazrul Islam founded a trading company, Rezvi & Brothers (R.B.), named after his eldest son; Walton grew out of this business. [2]
• 2006-04-17 Walton Hi-Tech Industries was incorporated as a private limited company. [1]
• 2008 Walton Hi-Tech Industries started business operations, beginning with refrigerator manufacturing. [1] [2]
• 2017-04 Walton set up a compressor manufacturing factory and inaugurated a smartphone manufacturing factory in Bangladesh. [2]
• 2018-01 Walton opened a computer and laptop assembly plant in Bangladesh and began exporting laptops to Nigeria. [2]
• 2020-09-23 Shares of Walton Hi-Tech Industries began trading on the Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges, under the Dhaka Stock Exchange code WALTONHIL, after a book-built initial public offering in which general investors were offered shares at Tk 252. [3] [4]
• 2022-04 Walton Hi-Tech Industries announced that it had acquired rights to European compressor brands from Italia Wanbao-ACC, including Zanussi Elettromeccanica (ZEM) and Verdichter (VOE), together with a production plant, trademarks, patents, designs and software. [2]
